The Japanese Chapter

The Japanese Chapter is headed by Yasuyoshi Inagaki. Among its aims is to provide a forum to members of EATCS living in Japan, and to promote a good relationship between Japanese and European researchers in Theoretical Computer Science. (The web page is in english/japanese.)

Sister Organisations

ACM SIGACT

EATCS collaborates with the Special Interest Group on Algorithms and Computation Theory (SIGACT), which is the ACM special interest group for Theoretical Computer Science. Among the collaborations is the annual presentation of the Gödel Prize. EATCS encourages memberships of both organisations and there are excellent discounts available: SIGACT members can become EATCS members for EURO 20.- per year (or US$ 23.-). Moreover, EATCS members can join SIGACT at a cost of US$ 15.-.

EAPLS

EATCS also cooperates with the European Association for Programming Languages and Systems (EAPLS), which promotes research in the area of programming including theory, language design, language implementation, and language use. EAPLS coordinates and sponsors conferences and courses on specific subjects in Programming, and stimulates the dissemination of information concerning scientific events in this area.
